Sehat Kahani

MLC Vanguard | Created by Sehat Kahani Community Impact Hub

Sehat Kahani is a Pakistani telemedicine platform revolutionizing healthcare access. Through its E-Clinic model, it connects vulnerable populations, especially women and children in marginalized communities, with qualified female doctors. Offering affordable, rapid telemedicine consultations, the platform empowers underutilized healthcare professionals, reduces gender inequalities, and improves health outcomes in underserved regions.

3,200,000 Lives Impacted

Sehat Kahani’s  impact is multifaceted, tackling the pressing challenges faced by displaced communities. Limited access to healthcare is a primary concern, exacerbated by violence, checkpoints, and a complicated registration process hindering humanitarian operations. Sehat Kahani`s platform disrupts this narrative by offering a cost-effective and sustainable telemedicine solution. It addresses geographical barriers, enabling users to connect with qualified healthcare professionals virtually, minimizing the need for travel and face-to-face contact. Gender-based violence is another critical issue, with a significant gap in services and referral mechanisms for women and girls. Sehat Kahani`s commitment to empowering underutilized female health workers plays a crucial role in bridging this gap. By creating employment opportunities, particularly for those facing gender inequalities, the platform contributes not only to healthcare access but also to socio-economic empowerment. Mental health disorders present a significant challenge, both among the displaced population and incoming refugees who have experienced extreme stress and violence. The cross-cultural differences and language barriers exacerbate the difficulty of diagnosis. Sehat Kahani`s innovative approach integrates an e-learning component, enhancing the capacity of healthcare professionals to understand the unique expressions of distress and illness among diverse populations. This addresses the critical need for accurate mental health diagnoses and appropriate interventions.

The Innovation

Sehat Kahani is a widely used digital healthcare platform in Pakistan with the vision to democratize healthcare access for all using technology and a committed network of doctors with the commitment to enable flexible work opportunities for female doctors otherwise facing socio-cultural barriers to practice. Sehat Kahani’s platform is available as a Mobile Application for mass consumers and corporations and as e-clinics in low-income communities. Our USP is to enable a consultation within 60 secs, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

Our technology-driven approach ensures secure, HIPAA-compliant telemedicine services with integrated data management. The electronic medical record system facilitates efficient patient data management, enhancing the quality of care and minimizing the potential for medical errors. This emphasis on technology extends to being data aggregators, addressing the underreporting of health data in Pakistan, and striving to improve primary health outcomes.
