BioLite stoves use between 50-70% less fuel than traditional cooking methods, which helps families save money and means they spend less time collecting fuel. Our stoves reduce harmful emissions by up to 90%, improving the health of the entire family, and they cook food faster compared to inefficient stoves, which means women and girls (who spend the most time in the kitchen), have more time for other activities.
Women and girls living in refugee settings are at a great risk of gender based violence when they travel long distances on foot to collect firewood for their families. Having a clean cookstove means their firewood stock lasts longer, minimising the instances of travel to collect firewood.
Our solar products completely eliminate the need for harmful kerosene lighting, helping families save money while enabling them to continue their daily tasks even after the sun goes down, like cooking or doing school work. Families are also able to charge their phones at home, rather than travelling to the nearest shop to do so. In addition, solar powered FM Radio and television means that families can stay up to date with the latest news, keeping them connected to their community.

Our flagship product is the SolarHome 620, an ultra-affordable solar home system that brings modern lighting, phone charging and entertainment to the off-grid home. The SolarHome is expandable and can be built into a larger modular system with the release of our SolarHome 5000 with more solar power and battery storage.
In addition we have our range of clean cookstoves, including the Jiko Malkia and the Jiko Bora MamaYao. All of our stoves use easily accessible fuels such as wood, charcoal and biomass.
